ABOUT MEHBOOB TEJANI

Mehboob was born in Mumbai, India. He graduated with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Nottingham Trent University and has worked in the engineering field with Multinational Organizations in England, Canada, Australia and the United States.  He now resides in Toronto, Canada with his wife Noorjehan.

Music has been Mehboob's main passion and hobby since childhood. He does not come from a musical family. His father was very keen that Mehboob had a hobby and in his wisdom chose that to be Music.

His formal training in music started in Mumbai at the age of nine under the capable guidance of Professor David Satamkar. His other Gurus have been music director Ahmed Darbar; Khan Sahib Mehdi Hassan and celebrated vocal trainer in Toronto, Bill Nahr.

Mehboob's first radio appearance was at the age of twelve on Radio Ceylon, with Indian film actor Manmohan Krishna as the MC.  Over the years, he has performed extensively on TV shows in Canada, and given numerous solo concerts and performances in England, all over Canada, in Sydney (Australia) and throughout USA.
